After 3 years of hating my post c-section stomach I eventually plucked up the courage to look in to having an abdominoplasty. My research led me to Mr Lohn and within the first few minutes of my initial consultation, I knew that I had chosen the right consultant for my surgery. I was incredibly nervous and felt embarrassed that I was considering such a big operation just because I wasn’t happy with my stomach, but Mr Lohn instantly put me at ease and on examining me, he explained that I had quite significant muscle separation that wouldn’t heal itself which often caused back pain (something I have suffered with for many years). He went through the procedure with my husband and I in great detail including the risks, realistic results and recovery, he listened to my concerns and answered all of my many questions. There was never any pressure to make any decisions and I went away with a lot to think about and the reassurance of a further consultation if I decided to go ahead. Unfortunately, due to COVID my operation was cancelled so I had my operation 7 months later after a further consultation. Alix, Mr Lohn’s secretary, is delightful and was always available to answer my questions and talked me through a few panics! I cannot fault the care I received from Mr Lohn, Alix or The Nuffield Guildford, particularly as it was during such uncertain times. Mr Lohn is a first-class surgeon, has a wonderful bed side manner and truly cares about his patients. The results are amazing - I can now wear fitted clothes and I no longer have constant back ache!

I am 4 months post surgery following a breast reduction performed by Jonathan Lohn. I am very happy with the results and the ‘new’ me. In consultations ahead of my operation, I received the information and guidance that allowed me to make informed decisions around my planned surgery and what was right for me. On the morning of the operation I arrived at the hospital well prepared and confident in the ability of my surgeon. I felt safe and well looked after by Jonathan and I have no hesitation in writing this review and recommending him.

After searching around for a plastic surgeon to perform my tummy tuck, we came across Mr. Lohn. His PA Alix was our first point of contact who was able to provide us with a lot of information and answer any initial questions that we had. We booked to meet Mr Lohn for our initial consultation and I could tell straight away he was the one. He was extremely informative and honest with what he could achieve. This made me feel at ease with going ahead with the procedure. Mr Lohn and his team, along with the staff at Nuffield Guildord, provided exceptional care both during and after the procedure. If I had any concerns he was only ever a phonecall away. I cannot recommend Mr Lohn enough and would not hesitate to use him in the future. I am now 4 months post op and I am ecstatic with my results.

Mr Jonathan Lohn is an outstanding and exceptional surgeon. After two pregnancies (both C-Sections) I was left with severe separation of my abdominal muscles which resulted in extreme back pain and abdominal discomfort. From my very first consultation with Mr Lohn, he inspired confidence, explaining all my options in detail so that I was fully prepared for my surgery. There was absolutely no doubt in my mind that he was the right surgeon to carry out my abdominoplasty. At every appointment he listened and invited me to ask questions so I always felt extremely comfortable, and he consistently demonstrated that he cares about his patients - not only their health but their emotional wellbeing too. Three months on, thanks to Mr Lohn, I am now free of back pain and any discomfort and I now have an amazing quality of life. I have had several surgeries before and I can say that without a doubt Mr Lohn is the most amazing and brilliant surgeon that I have encountered - I cannot recommend him highly enough.

I would recommend with great confidence Mr Lohn to anyone contemplating breast reduction surgery. After a lot of research I booked my first exploratory consultation with Mr Lohn who listened carefully and instilled great confidence. In two further consultations Mr Lohn described the procedure with clarity and explained all the risks of surgery. He was realistic about the results I could expect and addressed all our questions (my husband accompanied me) with patience and empathy. Not only did Mr Lohn reduce the size and weight of my breast he also achieved aesthetic benefits in creating uplift. I am delighted by the results and very much feeling the benefits with reduced neck and back pain. The care and aftercare I received from Mr Lohn and his team was exceptional, this includes the anaesthetist and nursing staff. His medical secretary Alix was very professional and responded to communications swiftly and efficiently. I am approaching three months post surgery and my only regret is not having had this surgery sooner. I consider myself fortunate to have found an exceptional surgeon at my local Nuffield hospital.
